Research Interests
My research falls into the category of applied analysis, with an emphasis in mathematical physics — kinetic theory and the mathematical foundations of quantum physics, electrodynamics, and general relativity. More recently I've extended this into applied and computational methods: Bayesian nonparametric modeling, time-series change-point detection, and machine learning applied to complex systems.
Technical Skills
- Mathematics & Modeling: Dynamical systems, stochastic processes, probabilistic modeling, numerical methods, simulation
- Programming & Data: Python, SQL, Julia, Go, C
- Machine Learning: Supervised & unsupervised learning, clustering, HMMs, Bayesian modeling, change-point detection
- Data Engineering: Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce
- Tools: NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Git, Linux, LaTeX
